With the 3-row family SUV market thriving, Buick has made a significant update to the Enclave for the 2022 model year, with visible changes both inside and out. In particular, the top-end Avenir trim gets unique outside trim bits, a more upscale interior with piping, as well as heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats. The updated Enclave provides an alluring alternative to the usual 3-row SUVs that families usually choose.

All 2022 Enclaves come with a 3.6-liter V-6 engine making 310 horsepower paired to a 9-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel-drive is standard while all-wheel-drive is an option. The center console has been changed and there is now a push-button selector for the transmission. In addition, the Buick Driver Confidence Plus Package comes standard and includes automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, lane change alert with side blind zone alert, rear park assist, forward collision alert, and a following distance indicator.

Available features include a rear camera mirror, rear pedestrian alert, front park assist, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as a color head-up display. Those who want a more aggressive look to their Enclave can opt for the Sport Touring appearance package with a distinctive front grille and 20-inch wheels. Shoppers in the comfort camp can consider the Avenir trim with massaging front seats, adaptive cruise control, and available continuously damping active suspension.

The Enclave has long been a solid option for families looking to stand out in driveways and school pick-up lines. With the updates for 2022, the revised Enclave likely will not leave them wanting for both comfort and sophistication.
