The Mazda3, long lauded for its engaging driving experience, has been completely redesigned for 2019, with all-wheel-drive available for the first time. Customers have four versions to choose from: base Mazda3, midlevel Mazda3 Select Package, well-equipped Mazda3 Preferred Package, and top-end Mazda3 Premium Package. All of them come with a 4-cylinder generating 186 horsepower, with all-wheel-drive optional on all trims expect base Mazda3. Audiophiles can get a 12-speaker Bose sound system on cars with the Preferred and Premium packages. In addition, the Mazda3 is available with Mazda’s new Driver Monitoring system, which uses an infrared camera and LED to monitor the driver’s line of sight and eye movement to determine when the driver is being inattentive. Another new feature is Cruising & Traffic Support, which helps reduce fatigue by assisting with accelerator, brake pedal and steering operations when stuck in highway traffic jams.
