The Terrain is GMC’s compact SUV designed for versatility. Buyers have four trim levels to choose from: base SL, midrange SLE, well-equipped SLT, and luxury-oriented Denali. Customers who select the SLE or SLT level have three engines to choose from: a 170-horsepower turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder, a 252-horsepower turbocharged 2-liter 4-cylinder, and a diesel turbocharged 1.6-liter 4-cylinder making 137 horsepower for those looking for long range from a single tank of gas. The SL is available only with the 170-horsepower engine while the Denali comes solely with the 252-horsepower engine. All-wheel-drive is optional on all trim levels except the front-wheel-drive-only SL. Standard features include 17-inch alloy wheels, LED signature lighting, and active noise cancellation. A Black Edition with 19-inch gloss black wheels, darkened grille insert with black surround, black mirror caps, black roof rails, and black badging is available on SLE and SLT models for 2019.
