2022 Genesis GV70 Preview
In October, Genesis previewed its upcoming premium compact SUV, the GV70, which is positioned to compete in one of the toughest luxury vehicle segments in America. Based on a rear-wheel-drive platform and with an available Sport model, Genesis intends for the GV70 to be a sporty and versatile take on the compact luxury SUV.
Genesis has ensured the GV70 contains the design language found on other models, with a crest grille and quad lamps in the front as well as back, for a sophisticated look. In addition, there are dedicated skid plates and a body-colored diffuser which highlights the sporty and well-rounded intentions of the GV70.
Furthermore, Genesis debuted the GV70 Sport variant, designed to appeal to customers who want their GV80 to look racy even when parked. The Sport comes with a more aggressive front bumper, 21-inch wheels, and a large-diameter exhaust. Inside, the Sport has a sport steering wheel along with carbon-fiber appointed consoles and doors.
Come 2021, the GV80 should be set to make a flashy entrance in the ultra-competitive premium compact SUV market. The Cartrast team will be interested in learning more about the GV70 as the on-sale date approaches.
