Mazda MX-5
For the 2019 model year, Mazda has made significant changes to the MX-5 two-seat sports car. Available with either a soft top or retractable hardtop (RF), updates include a standard tilt/telescoping steering column and an aluminum steering column to save weight. MX-5 soft top buyers can choose from three trim levels: base Sport, performance-oriented Club, and high-end Grand Touring. (RF buyers can only choose between Club and Grand Touring.) The sole powertrain is a 4-cylinder that generates 181 horsepower paired to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. Standard features include LED headlights, 16-inch alloy wheels, and an infotainment system with a 7-inch color display. Those looking for more performance equipment can specify the Brembo/BBS/Recaro Package with Recaro leather seats, front Brembo brake rotors, and 17-inch BBS forged wheels. In addition, Mazda now offers a GT-S Package for MX-5 Grand Touring trims with the 6-speed manual, which adds a front shock tower brace, limited-slip rear differential and Bilstein dampers, offering equipment once solely for the Club trim.
